Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd. is a Sino-foreign joint venture held by China Datang Corporation Ltd. Established in 1994, the Company was the first Chinese enterprise listed in London, the first Chinese power enterprise listed in Hong Kong, and the first Chinese enterprise triple listed in Hong Kong, London and Shanghai.
Datang International is one of the largest independent power generation companies in China. After 30 years of development, its operating subsidiaries and projects under construction have spread across 19 provinces and regions across the country. It mainly engaged in thermal power, hydropower, wind power, photovoltaic power generation, and also involves other fields such as coal, transportation, recycling economy and electricity sales. It has grown from a single thermal power generation company to a listed comprehensive energy company involved in multiple fields and industries. As of the end of 2023, the installed capacity of the Company reached 73.291 million kilowatts.
Datang International implements the target requirements of “dual carbon”, takes the realization of green and low-carbon transformation as its development direction, and takes “green and low-carbon, multi-energy complementarity, efficient coordination, and digital intelligence” as its development vision. The Company vigorously developed new energy and other strategic emerging industries, orderly promoted the transformation and upgrading of the existing coal power projects and the construction of key coal power supply guarantee projects, and co-ordinately achieved the acceleration and efficiency enhancement of new energy, the quality and efficiency enhancement of coal-fired power and the development and expansion of new industries. By the end of 2023, the Company newly added generating units with 4,799.2 MW of generating capacity, including 577 MW of thermal coal-fired generation, 2,047.5 MW of wind power projects, 1,604.7 MW of photovoltaic projects, and the percentage of low carbon energy installed capacity was further improved to 37.75%.?
